Request for Information on SMD Information Policy

NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) recently released SMD Policy(SPD)-41: The Science Information Policy. SPD-41 is a consolidation of existing policies and laws applicable to the openness and accessibility of data, software, papers, and ancillary information resulting from SMD-funded efforts. SPD-41 is the first SMD-wide policy on data, software, and information.

A new Request for Information (RFI) solicits feedback on SPD-41, including support needed for successful implementation and proposed additions: go.nasa.gov/RFISPD41.

• What support, services, training, funding, or further guidance is needed to support the successful implementation of the existing or proposed information policy?
